Fashion lovers are in for a big night as six Manila-based fashion designers showcase their collections in a one-night pocket event on November 28, 2015, Saturday, at the Gallery Orange, Art District Mandalagan, Bacolod City. Amare, a Fashion Nouveaulution product under Nouveau Management is in cooperation with the Bacolod City Tourism and the Association of Negros Producers (ANP). Show starts at 7 o’clock in the evening.

Bacolodnons will be happy to know that Amare aims to launch the company’s main goal of marketing Bacolod as another fashion gateway in the country next to Manila. This is very possible since the city’s thriving and becoming more popular. Add to that the fact that people in Bacolod are fashion forward.

Local materials will be featured at the show. A good thing since it’ll give more chances for local producers to sell their products and raw materials. The six designers who’ll be taking part in Amare will show their couture formal wear, RTW for men and women, formal wear for men, couture bridal gowns, and accessory designs. There will also be a pop-up store at the venue where guests can immediately buy the collections that they like.

JIAN LASALA

Jian started a formal fashion business at the age of 17 while pursuing his studies. He graduated Cum Laude with a Double Major Degree in Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of San Carlos. He was one of the youngest designers to grace the stage of the Philippine Fashion Week at the age of 21 and has been consistent in showcasing his designs every year, incorporating his minimal but very feminine aesthetics. He was the first designer for Bench’s International Collections, one of the first Fashion Specialist of SM and the first fashion designer for Stoked INC.

JBEE BELEDIANO

He was first launched as a fashion accessory designer from Bacolod City when he debuted his first Avant Art collection during the Fashion Nouveaulution 2015 show. He is known for his exceptional and unique accessories known as avant garde. He is experimental and innovative with respect to art and fashion. He is featured in different publications and has collaborated with fellow designers. His passion for fashion will fuel him toward success in the fashion industry.

JEFF JUSSEL SILVESTRE

He is the fashion designer on the rise from Kalibo, Aklan. He started falling in love with fashion at the young age of 18, doing fashion sketches and fashionable-related stuff as much as he can. He was given the chance to produce a fashion show in their school and he was able to showcase his first collection there made of recycled materials that were turned into high fashion pieces. His fashion design philosophy includes classic and modern infused fashion, opting for dramatic, intricate, and edgy designs. For him, fashion is his way of expressing his emotions and dreams through design and fabric.

YVES CAMINGUE

A “self-trained, self-taught designer,” he learned sewing techniques at home and apprenticed under prominent Cebu-based designers. He is currently based in Manila designing for Stoked INC. As one of the finalists for Project Runway Philippines Season 3 last 2012, opportunities opened for him and he invaded Cambodia at the Phnom Penh Fashion Week 2015 with his “Plaza Karnataka” Collection. His designs are modern with comfortable cuts and an interesting mix of details and patterns. Having been in the local fashion rounds since 2005, Yves has definitely risen up the echelons of local fashion as a formidable designer.

CHERRY SAMUYA VERIC

A renowned celebrity and beauty queen fashion designer, he was a finalist of Project Runway Philippines Season 2 and was one of the designers who graced the runway of Philippine Fashion Week. He is known for emphasizing the sexiness of the female clavicles and have a trademark for baroque sensibility. He is especially known for his embellishments in the most tasteful way, augmenting and complementing his choice of a monochromatic base. He works with delicate hands on equally delicate dresses. He loves symmetry and glamour, thus his collection embodies the real meaning of Haute Couture.

JUN-G CANDELARIO

One of Iloilo City’s most-sought after full-fledged fashion designer, he has gone far from being a festival costume designer. Using his knowledge in basic dress-making from his elective course, he has made his debut as a fashion designer when he was 22. His very first gowns and festival attires were showcased in local pageants where he made his mark and emerged as an entrepreneur. Jun-G Candelario is an architecture graduate, thus his creations shows architectural lines and classic with Victorian and bohemian touches. He has various features in publications and was also featured in Fame and Fashionista Runway in Singapore. He is known for the elaborate gowns that he makes for the Manny Librodo workshops.
